 AIRPORT PICK-UP INFORMATION

It is the passengers responsibility to call our number, 1-888-231-8451 after they have picked up all of their luggage.  After quickly locating the reservation, our dispatcher will give passengers the license plate number of the limousine that will pick them up. Passengers should then proceed immediately to the assigned loading zone, with all luggage, to wait for the limousine. If, for some reason, the passenger is not waiting, the driver may be forced to circle the airport ramps. During heavy traffic, this can take up to 30 minutes, and can be extremely inconvenient. Please remember that all pickups are made at the baggage claim level of either O'Hare or Midway airport.

  • Be cautious of anyone who jostles you.  Pickpockets work in crowded public areas.

  • Carry only telephone numbers and credit cards you will need.  Make sure you have credit card accounts and contact numbers at home should you need to replace them.

  • Remember! Don't look like a tourist.  Hanging cameras, souvenir shirts and other items are flags to thieves and robbers.  Try to blend in with others and not stand out as a potential victim.

  • Report any suspicious activity to police immediately.  If you see someone who may seem vulnerable to crime, let that person know.

 MPEA AIRPORT DEPARTURE TAX

In 1991, the Legislature of the State of Illinois passed a law establishing the "Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority". This authority has the power to manage McCormick Place, which is considered to be an important benefit to the entire region surrounding Chicago. This Authority is supported by five taxes, one of which is the "Airport Departure Tax". This tax will be collected by a City of Chicago Ordinance, created by an inter-government agreement. This Ordinance, after many delays, finally took effect on Friday, January 1, 1993.

This departure tax applies to all commercial transportation, "for hire", leaving O'Hare and Midway Airports. Under the classification of the law that includes taxis and limousines, every vehicle departing the commercial holding area of either airport to pick up customers will be required to pay a $2.00 fee. If the customer is not at the curb when the vehicle arrives, it will be necessary for the vehicle to reenter the commercial holding area and pay an additional $3.00.
